A New Collection of 10,000 NFT’s Championing Women in STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics
While NFT’s have taken the world of gaming and art by storm, there is still much speculation if they are a fad, but at the same time NFT’s are making headlines around the world when NFT’s are selling for exorbitant amounts of money. At the end of the day, they are hot commodities selling online which proves NFT projects with actual utility that generate returns for the holders are simply just getting started. STEMinists is one of those new companies doing just this, celebrating women in STEM and providing significant real world utility. STEMinists is not only the next female focused NFT project following the footsteps of World of Women, Crypto Chicks, Boss Beauties and Women Rise; this new NFT company founded by Product Designer and Developer, Jennifer Schwert, has taken her concept one step further by creating a collection that will directly fund female and BIPOC led STEM startups. This innovative new company is also giving back proceeds to randomly selected NFT holders and donating proceeds to STEM programs around the world to support more girls/minorities to get into the field.
“I didn’t want to create just another NFT company,“ said Jennifer Schwert, Founder, STEMinists. “My goal is to really move the needle on creating more spaces for women and POC to lead and create in the technology field. They have been denied a seat at the table for far too long and we want not only to give them a seat, but their own table. In order to do this, we have approached the problem from both angles — education to get more girls and women in the pipeline as well as startup funding to offer them the resources they need to bring their own STEM visions to life, while creating even more opportunities for other women — all while creating utility for the NFT holders.”
STEMinists are not just another pretty face, but a utility that lasts. With an innovative business model, STEMinists will share at least 50% of the profits. And that’s just Phase One. In Phase Two, the ROI from funding STEM startups + NFT Royalties will be divested to NFT holders, donated to STEM programs, and used to fund additional STEM startups in perpetuity. The NFT’s themselves celebrate the multi-faceted personalities and interests of all women with faces and shapes from every ethnicity, culture, and religion. The very first of six facial expressions to be released, is called MANSPLAINING, and stay tuned for the following release called DARING.
